'95 Virago/ Mikuni carb hose routing question?

OK, guys with a '95 Virago 1100 or similar could help me with this...my Mikuni carbs (I've taken them off for cleaning) have a hose nipple 1- 5/8" or 40 mm above the top rim of the float bowl, on your left as you look at the air horn (air intake side) ...the two nipples on the two carbs are joined together by hoses, approximately 1/4" hoses. Take a look at the reference website, and under carburetor (for my bike) see parts # 29, 31, and 37...part 29 is called "nipple" , but it is not the same nipple that is bugging me.

Look at

The question is, where do the hoses route once they join up through the nipple (part 29)???? It's driving me nuts, I didn't take notes and just can't remember.

Thanx for any help!!!

The hose you're referencing is #21 & 22 in this diagram.
They are air vents and just plug into the back of the air box.
The back of the air box will either have 2 nipples to "plug" the hoses into, or holes in the air box to "stick" the hoses into.
