Speed Sensor
Where exactly on the transmission is the speed sensor for the 1999 Chevy Cavalier?
ABS Light and Engine light is on, as well as speedometer and mileage gauge not working. Was told it was the speed sensor. Any and all help would be appreciated.
Look on the passenger side of the trans.You will most likely have to get under it to see.It will be somewhere in the trans case near the axle shaft. What you're looking for is a 3 or 4 wire connector,plugged into a sensor that is mounted to the trans with 1 bolt and what you might call a horseshoe style clip. It sounds ridiculous but when you see it you'll know it. Sorry ,I just don't know how else to explain it!
