Intake Hoses
what causes gas to run out of the air intake hose on 1994 aerostar van. the vehicle will not start and floods?
the vehicle floods out when trying to start and that is when the fuel runs out of the air intake hose and soaks the air filter
Remove the air intake duct that connects the air filter to the intake manifold. Now have a friend crank the engine while you observe what happens. Are you sure you see raw gasoline dripping somewhere? Where is it dripping from? Possibly a bad fuel hose or fuel pressure regulator.
PS, Wear safety glasses and have a fire extinquisher handy if it's really a gasoline leak your detecting.
